  • Carbohydrate is the most important energy source during exercise. 75% of carbohydrate reserves are stored in the muscles and 25% in the liver – but both ‘tanks’ have to be full if maximum benefits in endurance and performance is to be realised.

  • Dissolve 16 heaped scoops (160g powder) in 1 litre (2 pints) water or skimmed milk. Intake for carbohydrate boost loading: 1 – 1.5 litres (2-3 pints) daily for at least 3 days before the event.
