SHIMANO GROUPSET ULTEGRA 12 SPEED R8170 DI2 DISC COMPLETE

The new Shimano Ultegra R8170 Di2 (12 speed) groupset for disc brakes will make you ride faster, both on the flat and in the mountains. Some new features highlighted:

• Wireless shifters:

The shifters communicate wirelessly with the derailleurs using their own protocol. There are only two cables running through the handlebars, the two hydraulic brake cables. The shifters have also been slightly modified in terms of appearance. They are slightly more inward so you can shift easier and have a better grip.

• Derailleurs:

The front derailleur has become a lot more compact which makes for a very nice aesthetic look and feel. The rear derailleur has become more versatile, not only has the D-Fly and junction box been incorporated, the system has also been made more user-friendly. For example, there is only one rear derailleur for all gears and it is easily charged via the rear derailleur.

• Hydraulic brakes:

The new Ultegra brakes are based on the M8100 XT brakes that Shimano uses for their average MTB. Better heat resistance but also a larger space between the brake pads so you won't have the annoying dragging.
